Definition of physical activity
Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure.
Physical activity helps prevent a large number of chronic diseases. In addition, it has benefits on health during and after treatment for a chronic illness. However, to optimize the effectiveness of this physical activity, it should be done at moderate or vigorous intensity. However, in the case of certain diseases, these intensities may not be recommended.
